FAQ
Airsoft events: questions & answers
When is the airsoft season in Bulgaria?
Airsoft is played all year round in Bulgaria. Most big MilSims – Viper, Razor Wire, ATLAS and Battle for Tartaria – run between April and October, while winter has its own classics such as the Battle for the North Pole in December near Nova Zagora.
How do I sign up for an airsoft event?
Open the event from the calendar – every entry links to the organiser’s Facebook event or website. Register there, read the game rules (power limits, chrono and minimum engagement distances) and bring impact-rated eye protection; without it you will not be allowed to play.
What is a MilSim?
A MilSim (military simulation) is a long airsoft game – usually 24 to 50 hours – with factions, a chain of command, missions and camping on site. Unlike a short game day, the focus is on realism, endurance and teamwork. See Europe’s MilSims for the biggest ones.
Can I play at the big European MilSims from Bulgaria?
Yes. Events such as Dark Emergency (Germany), Border War (Czech Republic) and OVERLOAD and Desert Storm (Romania) welcome international players. The calendar marks them with a country flag, and each game has a guide page with venue, format and distance from Sofia.
Are the event dates confirmed?
Dates are taken from the organisers’ official Facebook events and websites and updated regularly, but organisers sometimes move games. Always check the linked event page before you travel.
