Pro airsoft loadout: quality gear that lasts

Gear that costs more but lasts longer and works better – mostly Emerson Gear, plus the optics, comms and cameras I trust. Tick what you need and the kit total at the bottom updates as you go.

Airsoft player in a complete loadout – helmet, goggles, mesh mask, plate carrier and rifle

Why spend more?

Better gear fits better, survives more games and keeps its resale value. The kit starts with a sensible core already ticked: a full-metal M4, a G3 uniform, sealed goggles, a mesh mask, a chest rig, gloves and a FAST helmet. Add or remove anything – every item can be combined with the others. Prices are approximate and change with sales, so check the store before you buy. Starting out? See the Budget loadout; for the exact kit I play with, see my loadout.

Unity-Style FAST Riser Mounts (Red Dot + Magnifier)

Finally a riser that is high enough: about 40 mm tall, so I get a heads-up position with helmet, mask and goggles on. The matched set keeps the red dot and magnifier perfectly aligned. Two solid pieces of metal at a budget price.

Flashlight Mount for 20 mm Rail

See price in store

Offset mount that puts the weapon light on a 20 mm Picatinny rail where my thumb can reach the switch.

Tourniquet (First Aid)

See price in store

Not a costume piece – real first aid. Many fields are remote and accidents happen away from the game too; it weighs nothing to carry.

BB Speed Loader (Crank)

See price in store

Crank-style loader for refilling magazines fast in the safe zone between rounds, without spilling BBs.

Pyramex RX Prescription Insert

See price in store

Prescription frame that clips inside the V2G goggles. This is how I play with corrected vision without wearing glasses under sealed goggles.

WADSN SF M300 Weapon Light

See price in store

Replica M300 light (133 g on my rifle) for bunkers and dark CQB rooms – fields like BoinoPole have dim interiors where a light is essential.

Camera & field tech

RunCam Scope Cam 2 4K

≈ €332

My go-to scope camera: aluminium IP64 body, built-in 20 mm rail mount, 4K30 or 2.7K60 (I recommend 2.7K60). Best value for quality I found, and the camera most of my gameplay is filmed with.

Upgrade pick for helmet POV: stronger low-light performance and stabilisation than the Action 4, and the same quick-release mounts.

Read my review

DJI Osmo Action 4

≈ €211

My rifle "selfie" camera, facing back at me (about 117 g with the mount). The magnetic quick release makes it a one-click install, and a dive-case cover protects the screen from BBs.

SanDisk Extreme PRO microSD Card

≈ €69

Fast enough for smooth 1080p60 and 4K recording for hours. I use 128 GB in my scope cam – format it to FAT32 for the RunCam.

FAQ

Pro loadout questions

Is expensive airsoft gear worth it?

For the items you use every game – eye protection, gloves, a chest rig and a good replica – quality gear usually pays off: it fits better, lasts longer and keeps its resale value. Start cheap on the extras and upgrade what you actually use.

Plate carrier or chest rig?

A chest rig is lighter and cooler and carries everything up front; a plate carrier gives a more realistic look and more MOLLE space but is heavier and warmer. Many players start with a chest rig.

How much does a pro airsoft kit cost?

The default kit on this page comes to roughly €615 – a full-metal M4 with an 11.1 V battery and charger, G3 uniform, goggles, mesh mask, UW chest rig, gloves and a FAST helmet. Prices are approximate and change with sales.
