Sweden’s legendary MILSIM that mixes airsoft with LARP – military factions, civilians, gangs and traders, airstrikes, bunkers and airsoft tanks across a huge game area.
Berget is run by the company Berget-Events and is one of the longest-running large MILSIMs in Europe. Berget 5 on the island of Hemsö in 2007 brought 2,000 players together – at the time the largest airsoft meeting in Europe. Berget 22 (2026), ‘Operation Fort Knox’, returned to a much-loved game area near Sollefteå with a good road network close to the city.
Participants are placed in big teams with a military structure and overall objectives. LARP and civilian roles – soldiers, traders, gangsters and politicians – drive the story, and armoured airsoft vehicles (BAVs), airstrikes, bunkers and convoy attacks are part of the game. The organisers warn that the area is big and demanding: expect to walk long distances and read the full rules and beginners’ guide first.
