One of Romania’s most important MilSims: around 40 hours of non-stop play for 700+ players on a 500-hectare former military base in the Carpathian foothills near Sibiu.
OVERLOAD has been running since 2011 on the grounds of the former military unit at Mârșa, Sibiu County – one of the most complex airsoft locations in Romania. The whole site covers around 500 hectares, and the active game area is 200–400 hectares depending on the scenario, with 400–1,700 m between objectives. The name means ‘overload’ – and the organisers make it clear this is not a casual weekend game but a MilSim that demands preparation, discipline and managing your energy.
OVERLOAD 2026 ‘Op. GHOSTS’ (the 11th edition) brought together 709 players from Romania and abroad for 39 hours. Two armies – Dragons and Panthers – fought over fortified HQs, a fort and domination points, while a new civilian village in the centre added LARP characters such as a cartel, sheriffs, a governor and a priest. Factions camp in prepared forest areas (no electricity) and the organisers run a tractor shuttle to the far camp.
